Yes, all families of 4 year old's are encouraged apply for the GSRP program, regardless of income. 

• Eligibility: GSRP enrollment comes in three phases. We are hopeful to have enough preschool slots to welcome all families interested in our program. 

  • Phase 1: Children with 1755 IEP's, families with foster children, families with who are unhoused, and are four years old on or before September 1st 2026, will be automatically enrolled.  Further steps will be communicated via email in order to complete registration.

  • Phase 2: All children who are four years old on or before September 1st, 2026 and whose families self report income in the registration process will be accepted first.  Further steps will be communicated via email in order to complete registration.  Families that do not do the self report income step will be accepted on August 1,2026 if space remains.

  • Phase 3: All children who will turn four between September 2nd-December 1st 2026, will be accepted September 2, 2026 if space remains.

You will be required to upload the following documents in the Pre-Enrollment Manager, a link will be sent to you after completing the initial registration:

1. Original certified birth certificate (required)

2. Immunization requirements/records (required) 

   1. You will need to provide a copy of your students' State of Michigan Immunization Record. Click this link to request a copy of an official immunization record.

3. Parent/guardian's driver's license for identification purposes only (not to be used for residency)

4. Two Items to Prove Residency:

   1. If you own (choose one set of documents):

      1. Property tax record and utility bill (DTE or Consumers Energy)

      2. Homeowners insurance policy and utility bill (DTE or Consumers Energy)

      3. Warranty deed/closing statement for a new resident and confirmation of utility services ordered/transferred (Within 60 days of closing)

   2. If you rent or lease (All items are required)

      1. Signed current rental/lease agreement (that shows your name, address, rental term and signatures of all parties) and one utility bill (DTE or Consumers Energy)

      2. Current renter’s insurance policy (that shows your name, address, and current effective dates) and one utility bill (DTE or Consumers Energy)

   3. If you share a home that is not in one of the parent's name 

      1. You will need to obtain a shared living agreement. This requires an in-person scheduled meeting with the parent and homeowner to sign an affidavit, with proof of residency. Select this link to schedule an appointment for the shared living agreement.

** Gallimore Elementary school is the home of PCCS Early Childhood and the PCCS Talented and Gifted(TAG) programs. It is not a home school option, and it does not have Kindergarten-2nd grade.  

• 3-Year-Old: Half Day or School Day

• 4-Year-Old: Half Day, School Day (tuition-based or Great Start Readiness Program)

• Our Community Education program offers a 2-year-old Parent-Child class.

• Children must be 3 or 4 by September 1 of the program year (age waiver may apply for birthdays between Sept. 2 and Dec. 1).

• Students must be fully independent in the restroom (no pull-ups/diapers allowed).

Social skills, language development, self-confidence, pre-literacy, numeracy, and fine motor skills using a hands-on, play-based curriculum.

All staff meet state clearance requirements, including fingerprinting, CPR, and First Aid certification. Lead teachers hold early childhood-related degrees or certifications.

Activities include large/small group time, literacy, snack, center time, outdoor play, and rest time (for full-day students).

• Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, a backpack, and a change of clothes. Full-day students need rest-time bedding.

• Label all items with your child’s name.

• Half-day programs: a nutritious snack is provided daily.
• School-day programs (GSRP and Tuition): Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided to the students. Meals are served family-style to teach social skills, responsibility, and healthy eating habits while fostering a sense of community and cooperation among the students.

Personal toys should be left at home unless specified by the teacher for sharing days.

• Tuition programs: Yes. Parents are expected to transport and accompany their child. Siblings should not attend.
• GSRP programs: GSRP programs participate in two field trips a year, offering students valuable hands-on learning experiences, with transportation provided to ensure accessibility for all. Siblings should not attend.

The Extended Day Department offers preschool before and after school care at our Allen and Gallimore sites.  There is a separate registration for this before/after care and space is limited. Families must be registered for preschool before registering for before/after care

Follow site-specific traffic patterns. Students must be signed in/out by authorized adults. Late pick-ups incur fees.

Students should remain ho me from school if any of the following symptoms present:

• Fever
• Earache
• Sore throat
• Runny eyes
• Rash of any kind
• Diarrhea/vomiting
• Persistent coughing 
• Other communicable diseases
• Cloudy/green discharge from nose

Please note that students must be fever, vomit, and diarrhea-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school. If your child will be absent, please contact your child's teacher by phone or email to explain the symptoms or diagnosis (if applicable). If your child becomes ill at school, a parent or guardian is responsible for picking them up in a timely manner. Ensure we always have up-to-date family and emergency contact information for these situations.

Tuition is billed in 10 monthly installments. Payments are due on the 25th of each month. Late payments incur fees, and consistent late payments may result in dis-enrollment.
